2 days hands on workshop on “Robotics” was organized by the Department club of CSE – “CLIQUE” in association with FOSS club under AICTE SPICES scheme on 21-12-2022 and 22-12-2022. The session was handled by Dr Arun Kant A Jose, Assistant Professor Department of ECE. The workshop introduced participants the basics of Robotics including ROS essentials, Interfacing sensors and actuators and Intelligent systems. There were 4 membered 16 teams, with 64 participants of various departments.

TECH TALK

CLIQUE, conducted a tech talk for the second year CSE students on 6th December 2021. The session was handled by Peyara Nando of S7, CSE on the topic Machine Learning.

AU REVOIR

Clique organized a farewell for the final year computer science department students on 3 rd June 2022. The function was hosted by Fathima Althaf and Sanjukta Das (S6 CSE) and presided over by asst HOD of CSE Ms. Sreenu G and other teaching and non-teaching staff. The farewell function started with a silent prayer. The welcome address was delivered by Hanna Sabu, the co-ordinator of the event (S6 CSE). After a heart warming speech by Ms. Sreenu, fellow senior and the most talented Krishnapriya S performed a beautiful rendition of a well known song. Activities like CLASS AWARDS 2022 and various other fun games were included to make the event more interactive and engaging for the seniors. A cake cutting ceremony was held to further enhance the celebration. After an amazing performance by Bharath (S6 CSE) and yet another nostalgic speech by Tony Jose (S8 CSE), seniors and juniors alike came together to dance. The event was concluded after a vote of thanks delivered by coordinator and
representative Darin Dwiju (S6 CSE).

HACKTOBER FEST

CLIQUE, organized an open source orientation for the students of MITS on 16th October 2021. The aim was to familiarize the attendees with basic GIT commands and give a brief introduction to GITHUB.They were introduced on how to contribute to an open source project. After the familiarization, the attendees were briefed on what Hacktober fest was. The session was well led by guiding the participants through each and  every steps to follow while registering to the Hacktober fest. The session was handled by Peyara Nando of S7, CSE.

CLIQUE ORIENTATION 2021

CLIQUE, conducted an orientation for the first year students of MITS from 24th to 26th of November 2021. The sessions were handled by Anu Abraham,Kritty S Varghese,Nikitha K Gigi,Arafa Naushad,Riya Sara Mathew of S7, CSE. The session duration was 1.5 hours each day and was conducted in their respective classrooms.

VISUAL DESIGN 101, POSTER MAKING

CLIQUE organized a POSTER DESIGNING COMPETITION, followed by the design workshop, VISUAL DESIGN 101 (on 13th December) for the students of MITS.  The competition was announced on 14th December 2020 and the students were asked to submit the entries by 22nd December 2020. The topic was to design a poster for a Radio Talk Show using Canva or Adobe Illustrator. The winners were Anandhu Jayan of S1 CSE (1st prize), Nikhil Biju of S3 CSE (2nd) and Malavika R Cheeran of S1 CSE (3rd) & bagged cash prizes of Rs.500, Rs.300 and Rs.200 respectively. The whole event was a great success.

TEDxMITS

The second edition of TEDxMITS, hosted by Clique, Association of Computer Science Students of MITS was held on 5th October 2020. The event revolved around the theme of “Crush the Cliché” and hosted a number of well-known speakers from various fields. The speakers included online content creator Sharan Nair, Director Nayana Shyam, theatre artist Manu and Machine learning engineer Sleeba Paul. The event had 7 speakers and along with Mr.Sabareesh Naranyanan who performed a stand-up comedy act. The event concluded with a performance by the Kochi based, progressive rock band, Chidakasha. The organizing team was led by Lead Organizer and Licensee, Karthik Raj, 2016-2020 CSE batch and the faculty in charge was Ms.Jency Thomas, Asst. Professor, CSE Dept. The event had over 80 participants from all over Kochi and proved to be a memorable experience for all.
