The ECE Department organized a summer course “Young Inventor” for the school students aged between 11 & 15 Years, from 14th May 2018 to 18th May 2018. This course was based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) approach.
Day 1 started with a session on “Magic with Chemistry” handled by Dr. Sivakumar S, Professor of the BSH Department. The afternoon session of Day 1 was “Physics based learning-by-doing”. This session was handled by Dr. Arunkant A Jose, Asst. Professor of the ECE Department and Mr. Baiju Karun, Assoc. Professor of the ECE Department. Day 2 was session on “Mathematics based learning-by-doing” handled by Mr. Anas M M, Asst. Professor of the ECE Department and Ms. Deepa Prabhu R,Asst. Professor of the ECE Department. Day 3 started with a session on “Computer Anatomy” by Mr. Mahalingam P. R, Asst. Professor of the CSE Department. The afternoon session of Day 3 was on “3D Printing”, handled by Mr. Anas M M, Asst. Professor of the ECE Department. Day 4 session was on “Circuits and Fun with Electronics”, handled by Mr. Mr. Baiju Karun, Assoc. Professor of the ECE Department and Dr. Arunkant A Jose, Asst. Professor of the ECE Department. Day 5 session was on “Robotics-Lets start building a Robo”, handled by Mr. Rishikesh P. H, Asst. Professor of the ECE Department and Mr. Anas M M, Asst. Professor of the ECE Department.
Twenty six students from various parts of the country attended the program. The overall feedback given by the participants was very positive.
