• Dr. Selvia Kuriakose (Assistant Professor, ECE) received PhD from IIT Gandhinagar on March 2017. Her area of research was Biomedical signal processing.

• Mr. Baiju Karun (Associate Professor, ECE) was appointed as Resource person for FDP on Embedded Systems which was conducted during 4th to 8th January 2016 at College of Engineering, Kidangoor.

2019-2023 Batch

• Malavika J and Theresa Thomas of S5 ECE were part of the team that won third prize in the Smart-O-Thon contest organized in December 2021

• Rishikesh J of S5 ECE was recognized by many International companies like Coca Cola, Google, Microsoft, SeaGate etc. for finding security vulnerabilities in their web infrastructure

• IEEE HAC project titled “Nursing Call System”, led by Rufus Shaji of S5 ECE, won the approval for a funding of USD 4740. The team also consisted of Indu P S, Gurudev Kamath, Rishikesh J, Mathew Sebastian, Jacob Mathew, Unnimaya and Gopu J Sekhar of S5 ECE.

• An amount of USD 1000 was approved as the IEEE RAS Grand. Mathew Sebastian, Jacob Mathew, Arya Mary Varghese, Ardhra B, Alisha K V, Nishin Basil John, Lidviya Paulose and Gopika Reji of S5 ECE were part of the team.

• Team consisting of Alen Sabu, Arya M A and S Sreevisya won an amount of USD 2000 as part of the IEEE Region 10 & IEEE HAC Special Call for Proposals.

• Sreeram M, Avanthika R menon and Aswin Venugopal of S4EC has been selected for the AI for Earth Azure Compute Grant of $10000 in the form of Microsoft Azure Cloud credits. Thier proposal uses AI to identify and monitor forest fires across the world

• Adeep Aji of S7 ECE received the Directorate level award for the Best NSS Volunteer in Jan 2021

• Arvin Manoj of S6 ECE conducted a webinar on the topic “How to get started with Programming” on 23rd May 2020

• Project titled Anti-clone B-platform, proposed by Vishnudev S., Annsana Baby, Ashiq Polly and Jefin Paul of S6EC, mentored by Rishikesh P H got selected to Semifinals in India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC-2019) in collaboration with DST and Texas Instruments, powered by AICTE. The project received electronics hardware worth $200 as a support from Texas Instruments.

• S6 students Jefin Paul and Vishnudev S completed 3 MOOC curses while Annsana Baby completed 4 MOOC courses.

• The project titled Testing Glucose In Blood With Sensor Without Taking Blood implemented by Vaishnavi G Rao, Joseph D Kalapurackal, Anjana P, Albin Kuriakose and mentored by Mr Baiju Karun, and Dr Arunkant A Jose, ECE Dept. won the third prize of Rs. 75,000/- at Yuva mastermind season 9.
