Welcome to GDSC Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science! Our club is dedicated to empowering students with the latest technology trends, fostering collaboration, and providing resources for personal and professional growth.

With 566 chapter members and 20 core team members, GDSC Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science is a vibrant community of technology enthusiasts. We offer a diverse range of workshops, seminars, and technical sessions to enhance the technical skills of our members. So far, we have successfully conducted 12 events with active participation.

Our club has conducted workshops and hands-on sessions on various topics such as Cloud, git/GitHub, Flutter, Jetpack Compose, and more. We have also organized competitive events like Pitch Perfect, an intercollegiate Ideathon. The event featured panelists from GDG, including Mr Kiran S Raj (Lead Organizer at GDG Cloud Kochi) and Mr Arjun Pramod (Execom Member of GDG Cloud Kochi). The best ideas from the Ideathon had the opportunity to be supported by investors from the GDG community, fostering industrial connections and encouraging ideation. Let’s Git Started

Let’s Git Started is an event that introduces everyone to the concept of Git and GitHub and also gives a brief introduction to the Idea of Open Source and HacktoberFest.

Day 1 & Day 2 – Basic Setup and App Building

Throughout the compose camp, the basics of building Android apps with Jetpack Compose, the new UI toolkit for building Android Apps was familiarized. In the first session, more about Android Studio and how you can use it to build apps was introduced.

Day 3: Add a Button to an App

Throughout the compose camp, the basics of building Android apps with Jetpack Compose, the new UI toolkit for building Android Apps were introduced. In the third and final session, we learned how to respond to a button click in an Android App.

Google Cloud Career Practitioner Campaign

The GCCP campaign by Google allowed us to kickstart our learning on Cloud Technology, the tool that powers apps like Google Search, Gmail, and YouTube. Along the way, we were able to learn & practice concepts like computing, application development, big data & machine learning using the cloud and implement them by building projects on Google Cloud Console. It helped us to prepare for Google Cloud certifications and earn badges for our Google Developer profile. We provided content support and access to the Google Cloud Skill Boost Platform for the participants to take the course.

Navigating Google Cloud with the Cloud Pilot

With the ongoing 30-day cloud campaign building, what could be better than the opportunity to interact with one of the imminent personalities, who has made it into one of the revered Google Cloud premier partners with his sheer hard work and dedication?

Passing out from MITS in 2021, Udesh has got his foot strong in the field of cloud computing and got certified in 9 out of 11 GCP certifications within a very short time. He has also taken time to mentor a lot of students making him the right person to give us insights on how to approach the ever-growing field of cloud computing.

WEB PAGE DESIGN COMPETITION

This design competition invited participants to showcase brilliance and creativity through captivating web page designs. The webpage include sections for home, events, about us, and links. Participants could add creative elements. Deadline was on: Feb 24, 2023. Congrats to Amal Krishna for winning.
