Either +2 marks or KEAM rankwill be considered forscholarship after a student hassecured admission in MITS. We don’t collect any donation/deposit & no extra fees other than above in the entire 4 year course except Rs 10,000 as refundable Caution Deposit
In fee Category 1 & 2 combined, a maximumof 24 seats (12 in Management quota & 12 in Govt.Quota) will be allocated in a batch of 60. Once this allocation is over the student will be allotted to Category 3. If a tie occurs KEAM rank will be used to break the tie.
*CSE and allied courses include CSE (120 seats), CSE(AI) (60 seats), and AI&DS (60 seats)
For continuation of scholarship please refer to the eligibility criteria given below. An academic year is comprised of TWO semesters. Semester fee payments are due before January 15th and July 15th of any year.
#Other fees include University Registration fee/PTA fund/office & stationary charges/student enrichment program offered by MITS like Cambridge BEC training & certification (1stYear), (IDP) Individual development plan (2nd & 3rd Year), paid Dept./Industry certified Add on courses (3rd & 4th year) irrespective of any category admitted.
Management Quota students will have to pay a onetime refundable caution deposit of Rs 10,000/-.
There are six categories of tuition fees (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) under which candidates are admitted under Management Quota mentioned in the above table.
Candidates belonging to the first five categories (1,2,3,4,5) are eligible for scholarships amounting to the differenceof actual fee in Management Quota approved by Government from time to time.
Criteria for Continuation of Scholarship
Any student admitted in category 1 or 2 in MQ as per the above table failing in at least one subject/not able to maintain minimum SGPA (7.5 SGPA if university exam is in pen paper mode/ 8SGPA if university exam is in online mode) in the semester under consideration, will slide to cat. 4 in the first instance (further max to Cat. 6).
Any student admitted in category 3 or 4 in MQ as per the above table failing in at least one subject/not able to maintain minimum SGPA (7 SGPA if university exam is in pen paper mode/ 8SGPA if university exam is in online mode) in the semester under consideration, will slide to cat . 5 in the first instance (further max to Cat. 6). Similarly, the student admitted in Cat.5 will slide to Cat.6.
If a student in subsequent semester earns 8 SGPA he/she can return to a maximum of Cat.4 but not to Cat.1, 2 or 3.
If a student admitted in Cat. 6 or 5 in subsequent semester earn 8 SGPA he/she can jump to maximum of Cat.4 but not to Cat.1, 2 or 3.
CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Candidates must be citizens of India.
Pass in Higher Secondary examination of the Board of HSE of Kerala or an examination recognized thereto, with at least 60% marks in Mathematics, and 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / equivalent subjects put together.
Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala.
Management Quota Admission Procedure
Subject to any orders that may be passed by the competent courts / authorities, admission will be only on the basis of inter-se merit determined by adding scores obtained in KEAM 2021 (for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) conducted by CEE, and marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry / equivalent subjects in the qualifying examination (board).
The score of KEAM 2021 and qualifying examination will be apportioned in the ratio 50:50.
The management may also prepare the merit rank list solely based on qualifying exam considering the situation prevailing at that time as an alternative.
The management may consider taking +1 and +2 PCM marks for state boards for preparing rank list and Mathematics marks of +1 and +2 combined for considering scholarship for 2021 admissions to balance with CBSE/ISC criteria.
Merit list for the different categories will be published in the website of the college (www.mgmits.ac.in).
Selection will strictly be in the order of merit.
Selected candidates will not be intimated by post, and they are advised to refer the website and appear for the interview and final selection without fail.
Dates of opening and closing of online application, publication of draft and final merit list, interview schedule, etc. will be published in the college website (www.mgmits.ac.in).
Selected candidates shall take admission at the appointed time and date in the college after paying the tuition fee and other fees to be paid, failing which the offer of admission will be cancelled.
