Basic Sciences and Humanities are fundamental to all engineering and technology studies. The Department of Basic Science and Humanities was established in July 2013. Since then, it has been instrumental in building students’ knowledge base in the field of science and humanities. The Department of Basic Science and Humanities comprises qualified faculty members from the disciplines of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Humanities, English, Psychology and Physical Education.

Department of Civil Engineering has been in existence since the inception of MITS. Over the years, the department has grown tremendously by developing strong links with buildings, construction industries, academic and research units. The department, besides providing a platform for students to qualify as good Civil Engineers, in parts an exposure to beyond technical hour sessions, talks by experts and industrial visits. To be eligible for admission to Muthoot Engineering College, candidates must have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects. A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM is required, with at least 50% marks in each of these subjects individually. Candidates must also have appeared for a national-level or state-level entrance test. There is no upper age limit for admission, but candidates should be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.
Candidates must also have appeared for a national-level engineering entrance examination, such as JEE Main, or the state-level entrance test, KEAM, and secured a qualifying rank as per the college’s cut-off.
For Government Quota Seats: Apply online through the official CEE Kerala website: cee.kerala.gov.in, cee-kerala.org. For Management Quota Seats: Apply directly through the college website: mgmits.ac.in Updates and announcements regarding management quota admissions will be published on the website.
Government Quota: Seat allocation is done by the CEE, Kerala through a centralized allotment process. Management Quota: Counseling is conducted by the college based on the merit list prepared from online applications.
Selected candidates must confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fees within the stipulated time. Refund Policy: The college strictly follows the UGC and AICTE guidelines on refund of admission/related fees.
