Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), Puthencruz, established in May 2013, began its academic programs in August 2013. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the major departments of the institute and offers a B.Tech program in Computer Science & Engineering with an intake of 120 students.
The department is supported by qualified and experienced faculty from diverse specializations, fostering an interactive environment for learning and research. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern computing facilities, high-speed networks, and fully equipped laboratories, students gain strong hands-on experience across core computer science areas. The CSE Department at Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science has advanced labs including Grace Hopper, Codd Base, Turing, FOSS, Singularity, and Neumann. They support core courses like Data Structures, DBMS, Networks, OS, and Programming. A dedicated Project Lab nurtures innovation, with modern servers, Linux systems, and compilers for C, C++, Java, Python, and more
The department library houses 160+ books, periodicals, newsletters, reports, and B.Tech project copies. With recent editions for issue, it provides a calm study ambience and is open on all working days from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

I am grateful for the enriching environment and guidance that made my experience truly rewarding and inspiring.
MITS played a vital role in supporting my unconventional journey beyond academics, encouraging me to master cloud technology and complete a major project, which earned me the Muthoot M George CSR award. The belief and guidance of the professors and management gave me the confidence to explore new paths and build my career.
