Intellectual Property Rights Cell

IPR Cell (Intellectual Property Rights Cell) is a committee established in educational institutions to promote, protect, and manage intellectual property created by faculty, researchers, and students. It helps transform innovative ideas into legally protected intellectual assets such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, industrial designs, and geographical indications. 

Objectives of an IPR Cell

  • Create awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
  • Encourage innovation, research, and entrepreneurship
  • Identify patentable inventions and creative works
  • Assist in filing patents, copyrights, trademarks, and designs
  • Guide researchers on technology transfer and commercialization
  • Develop and implement the institution’s IPR policy
