SCIENTIA ’26, a science outreach initiative organized by the SCIVERSE Club under the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities, was successfully conducted on 10th and 11th March at the MITS campus. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines and served as a platform to promote scientific curiosity and engagement.

The celebrations commenced with a talk show organized in observance of National Science Day. The session was delivered by Dr. Poornima N, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery. Her talk, titled “Game Changers of History,” was both insightful and engaging. She discussed several groundbreaking scientific innovations and highlighted the contributions of renowned scientists. The session effectively connected historical discoveries with modern technological advancements, helping students develop a deeper appreciation of the evolution and relevance of science in everyday life.

The second day featured an exciting event titled “SCIENTIA ’26 Presents: Treasure Hunt.” A total of 12 teams, each consisting of four members, participated in the competition.The treasure hunt was designed to test participants’ scientific knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. The event was conducted in a lively and competitive spirit, making it both enjoyable and intellectually stimulating. The competition was won by Team TTT, led by Freya Muneer.
