On February 7th , 2023 with the Charter Installation Ceremony , Rotaract Club of MITS under Rotary Club of Cochin East was formed. The event took place at the Visweswarya Hall, MITS Campus, Kochi. The Motto of the Club is focused on Service and Fellowship.

The first initiative in community service sector was ‘H.O.P.E’ (Helping Other People Excel) a donation drive conducted on March 6th,7th,8th,22nd and 23rd , 2023 wherein books and other stationary items were donated by MITS faculty and students for the needy children of Govt. UP School, Edakkattuvayal School on March 24th.

An Industrial Visit to INFRA ELEVATORS FACTORY* , on 25th March, 2023, helped rotractors to know more about the behind the scenes works of an elevator making ; followed by a boat ride to Vypin Jetty. Mr.Tony Mathew, the Faculty incharge accompanied the members. Rtn Manoj Kumar , ceo of Infra Elevators offered an interactive and informative platform to the young rotractors.

On 19th April, 2023 the Club conducted Aesthete, an initiative under Professional Service, is a design workshop for beginners, where you get to learn from Architects and Designers. The resource persons included Rtr. Joshua Emmanuel,Student Architect, ASADI, Kochi, Vaishnavi Anil, Graphic Design Intern, Zephyr ,Rtr. Aasher Paul,Graphic Designer, Speedway Motorsports. The workshop featured talks, hands-on sessions and introduction to a Professional Photoshop.

Rotaract Club of MITS bagged the First position in the Group Dance event at AARAVAM’23, the Rotaract Youth Festival jointly organised by all Rotaract Clubs of Cochin Region along with Invisible Wings on May 7th, 2023 at Cochin Gymkhana Club, Kochi.
