BSH PHYSICS LAB

PHYSICS LAB

Physics is a practical science and relies on data, so physicists need to understand how data is generated and how to analyse it. This covers a wide range of skills including the ability to use apparatus and instruments in the laboratory. MITS has a well-equipped physics laboratory with semiconductor LASER for Diffraction experiments, Newton’s ring arrangement, CRO, Solar cell, Thermocouple, Half shade Polarimeter etc. The labs were intended to be implemented with a lab manual. Students are provided with aim, principle and procedure for each experiment so that the students identify the kinds of observations which can be made and the types of quantities which can be measured with those tools, and then to develop some clearly-defined questions which can be tested with the available materials and equipment.
