MITS MOTORSPORTS – GKDC Season 13 (Go-Kart Design Challenge)
The MITS MOTORSPORTS team of Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science delivered a commendable performance at GKDC Season 13 (Go-Kart Design Challenge) in the EV category, competing against 31 engineering teams from across the country.
Demonstrating strong technical capability and consistent on-track performance, the team secured AIR 13 in the overall national rankings and First among teams from Kerala. The kart showcased great performance, efficient power transmission, stable braking characteristics, and precise steering control under competitive racing conditions.
The 25-member team was led by Captain Adidev Manoj, with Basil Mathews Biju serving as the Team Manager. The team was guided by Faculty Advisor Dr. Nikhil M Thoppil.
The event was held at Kari Speed Motor Speedways Race track, Coimbatore from 19th 25th February, 2026.
The go-kart AETHON V4 was entirely student-designed and built, involving:
- Chassis design and structural optimization
- Powertrain and drivetrain integration
- Steering and braking system development
- Safety compliance and technical validation
- Performance testing and preparation
