Dr. Shajimon K John is currently working as the Dean Academics and Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science, Ernakulum, Kerala. He did his B.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore. M.E degree in Applied Electronics from Anna University, Chennai, MBA from Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirappally and completed PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Karpagam University, Coimbatore. He has worked in industry for a period of five years from 1991 to 1996. He worked as Professor in Saintgits College of Engineering (Autonomous) for 18 years and also held various other positions including Vice Principal-Academics and Controller of Examinations. His areas of interest are VLSI Signal Processing, Image Processing and Engineering Education Management. At present 5 research scholars are pursuing their research work under him through APJ Abdul Kalm Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. He has published research papers in SCI and SCOPUS indexed journals and has also participated in many conferences. He has authored 1 book and 5 book chapters.
