Management Merit Quota (Admission flow)

Step 1 : Application submission through online (Click here)

Step 2 : Publication of Rank list of all the students who have applied at MITS
Basis- 50% weightage KEAM Score and 50% Weightage PCM +2 Marks (Dates will be finalised after KEAM Score is published)

Step 3 : Admissions at college based on the Rank list and schedule published in MITS website.

Option Registration/Confirmation Procedure while taking admissions at college

The applicant can exercise any of the 2 options while confirming admission at MITS.

A) FREEZE OPTION :

Applicant opting Freeze option will have to fill in the prescribed Freeze option form, remit a Freeze option confirmation fee of Rs 60,000/-. This amount will be adjusted to the fee payable during the final admission process. Such applicants will also be eligible to be considered for Scholarships offered by the Muthoot Group. However, a student opting for the Freeze option and cancelling thereafter will lose the entire Freeze option confirmation fee.

B) FLOAT OPTION :

Applicants opting Float option will have to fill in the prescribed Float option form, remit the entire fee of Rs. 1,05,000 (Govt. Quota/Group B Management Merit Quota Programs) or Rs 1,50,000 (Group A Programs Management Merit Quota) + Rs 10,000 (Caution deposit) + Rs 2370. Such applicants will NOT be eligible to be considered for Scholarships offered by the Muthoot Group in any year. However, an applicant opting for the Float option can exit any time before the last date of admissions/commencement of classes stipulated by AICTE/CEE. In such cases, a cancellation fee of Rs 1000/- will be deducted and the entire remaining money will be returned as per the cancellation rules laid down by CEE/Govt. from time to time

  • Either +2 marks or KEAM rank will be considered for scholarship after a student has secured admission in MITS.
  • Management Quota students will have to pay a onetime refundable caution deposit of Rs 10,000/-. There will be a one time payment of fees amounting to Rs.2370/- at the time of admission towards university fees.
  • We don’t collect any donation/deposit & no extra fees other than above in the entire 4 year course .

Refund Policy :   The college adheres to the refund policy for all admission/ related fees in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and AICTE from time to time.

In fee Category 1 & 2 combined, a maximum of 18 seats (9 in Management  quota & 9 in Govt. Quota )will be allocated in a batch of 60 in Group A. , Category 1 & 2 combined, a maximum of 24 seats (12 in Management  quota & 12 in Govt. Quota )will be allocated in a batch of 60 in Group B. If there are more than 18 students in Group A and 24 students in Group B, KEAM rank will be used to sort for scholarships in category 1 and 2. Once this allocation is over the student will be allotted to Category 3.

 

* For continuation of scholarship please refer to the eligibility criteria given below.  An academic year is comprised of TWO semesters. Semester fee payments are due before January 15th and July 15th of any year.

 

There are different categories of tuition fees (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in Group A & 1, 2, 3, 4 Group B) under which candidates are admitted under Management Quota mentioned in the above table.

Candidates belonging to the first five categories (1,2,3,4,5) in Group A and three categories (1,2,3) in Group B are eligible for scholarships amounting to the difference of actual fee in Management Quota approved by Government from time to time.

CRITERIA FOR CONTINUATION OF SCHOLARSHIP

  • Any student admitted in category 1 or 2 in MQ as per the above table failing in at least one subject/not able to maintain minimum CGPA (7.5 CGPA if university exam is in pen paper mode / 8 CGPA if university exam is in online mode) in the semester under consideration, will slide to cat. 3 in both the groups in the first instance (further max to Cat. 5 in Group A & further max to Cat. 4 in Group B).
  • Any student admitted in category 3 will slide to Cat. 4 and similarly admitted in Cat. 4 will slide to cat. 5 in MQ as per the above table, if the student fail in any one subject/not able to maintain minimum CGPA (7 CGPA if university exam is in pen paper mode / 8 CGPA if university exam is in online mode) in the semester under consideration.
  • If a student in subsequent semester earns 8 CGPA, he/she can return to next immediate category in the first chance and subsequently to a maximum of Cat.3 in both the Groups, but not to Cat.1, 2 . However if he/she is not maintaining 7CGPA , he/she will not be eligible for the scholarship.

CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

  • Candidates must be citizens of India.
  • Pass in Higher Secondary examination of the Board of HSE of Kerala or an examination recognized thereto, with at least 60% marks in Mathematics, and 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / equivalent subjects put together.
  • Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  • Subject to any orders that may be passed by the competent courts / authorities, admission will be only on the basis of inter-se merit determined by adding scores obtained in KEAM 2025 (for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) conducted by CEE, and marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry / equivalent subjects in the qualifying examination (board).
  • The score of KEAM 2025 and qualifying examination will be apportioned in the ratio 50:50.
  • Merit list for the different categories will be published in the website of the college (www.mgmits.ac.in).
  • Selection will strictly be in the order of merit.
  • Selected candidates will not be intimated by post, and they are advised to refer the website and appear for the interview and final selection without fail.

Dates of opening and closing of online application, publication of draft and final merit list, interview schedule, etc. will be published in the college website (www.mgmits.ac.in).

Selected candidates shall take admission at the appointed time and date in the college after paying the tuition fee and other fees to be paid, failing which the offer of admission will be cancelled.
