The Department of AI & Data Science, MITS Kochi, hosted the India AI Impact Summit 2026 Pre-Summit Event on 4 February 2026 with the theme “AI for Common Good.” The event featured expert talks from international and industry leaders on leveraging AI for economic growth and social good.
Arjun S Nair of 2022–2026 CSE (AI) has been invited to attend the world’s largest robotics conference, ICRA 2026, International Conference on Robotics & Automation, IEEE Robotics & Automation Society’s Flagship Conference in Vienna, Austria.
Olivia Plasid, Lakshmi A. K., Dona Jani, and Kadeeja Manika R of S7 AI&DS, under the guidance of Dr Priya C. V., were selected for SIGHT 3.0 Sustainable Innovations for Growth and Human Transformation, a country- wide Tech Expo organized by UST.
The team received appreciation for being selected among the top 15 teams out of 500 entries and successfully reaching the Grand Finale of SIGHT 3.0.

Summer Workshop in Mathematics – Mathematical Foundations for AI and Data Science brought together faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students for an engaging week of learning at MITS Kochi. Organized jointly by the Department of Basic Science & Humanities and the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, the workshop focused on the essential mathematical concepts behind AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science. Through expert talks, interactive sessions, and insightful discussions led by renowned academicians and industry experts, participants gained valuable theoretical knowledge and practical perspectives in emerging computational domains.
