Varnam and Shreshta, the arts and technical fests of our college, began with a logo launch at the M. George block on 3rd March 2023. Varnam ran from 21–30 March. Offstage events like Face Art, Essay Writing, Recitation were held 21–28 March. The inaugural on 29th featured playback singer Ms. Amrutha Suresh as chief guest, along with the launch of the MITS thrift store ‘Preloved Alley’. Onstage events—Movie Spoof, Nostalgia, Group Dance—took place on 30th, concluding with Green House winning the overall trophy. Shreshta, the technical fest, followed from 31st March–1st April. It included Metaverse Expo, Mystery Mayhem, Transcendus, Creatrix, and inter-college cultural events like Mime, Spoof, Duet Song. Students from many colleges participated. The fest ended on 1st April with a Masala Coffee performance and DJ night by Julia Bliss.

Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science conducted Varnam 2022 on 13–14 May, organized by the Students’ Committee, Media Club, Houses, and College Management to promote healthy competition and unity. Planning was handled by the Students’ Committee and Media Club, verified by Mr. Anand Rajagopal (Media Club in-charge) and sanctioned by the Principal. Events were split into offstage (10–12 May) and onstage (13–14 May). Offstage events saw strong competition among houses, with participation encouraged over winning. Onstage began with a performance by the chief guest, followed by the inauguration by violinist and playback singer Roopa Revathi. Day 1 ended with the college band, while Day 2 featured highlight events like group dance and theme show. Green House won the trophy, followed by Blue House. The fest ended with a memorable fusion DJ by BROHOUSE, marking the success of Varnam 2022.

Varnam’21 – Annual Arts Fest of MITS was held virtually on 7–8 May 2021 with great fanfare and 600+ students across 43 events. The grand logo launch took place on 27 April in the presence of Principal Dr. Neelakantan PC, Vice Principal Dr. Chikku Abraham, alumni, faculty, and students. Offstage events began on 3 May with essay writing, story writing, poetry, cartooning, pencil drawing, clay modeling, photography, classical music, etc. The onstage events opened with an inaugural on Zoom attended by the MITS family, with Chief Guest Mr. Ayraan, playback singer. The program included a prayer song, felicitations, Ranga Pooja by Anu & Amala Abraham, and a performance by Ayraan. Day 1 featured debate, MAD ADs, and Mock Press. Day 2 began with Western Vocals and included Mimicry, Monoact, Theme Show, Nadan Pattu, Group Dance, Adaptune, etc. Breaks were filled with fun games by Emalda & Riya Fily, with students sharing memories. An Internet Scavenger Hunt also saw enthusiastic participation.

Varnam 2k19-the annual arts day of MITS is scheduled on 15th and 16th of February 2019. Varnam is a confluence of art, music, dance, literature and culture. With active participation of students and faculty alike, it is definitely the most awaited time of the year. A wide spectrum of events like Thiruvathira, Margamkali, Tic-Tok contest, face art etc witness fierce competition from all 4 houses. The 2-day event will be inaugurated by famous violinist Sabareesh Prabhakar and the valedictory function will be graced by the presence of noted playback singer Jyotsna.

On the 7th of November, all the roads led to the basketball court of our College for the cultural’s inauguration for the year 2018-19. The excitement among the students was palpable. The cultural committee of MITS was successful in bringing up a programme that maintained the decorum in all aspects. College Executive Director, Mr. P George Varghese was the Chief Guest for the event. Dr.Chikku Abraham, the acting principal and Dr. Babu Kurian, College Dean and the HoD’s of various departments were present among the dignitaries.
