Mits Contacts – Android application

About the application

MITS Contacts is an application to access the contact details of staff members and student/parents of MITS, grouped department wise.

Utility of the app.

Using this application, it is very easy to call a contact as minimum numbers of clicks are needed to place a call. Also, to send group SMS it is very easy, with a single click, all the contact numbers in the group will be added and there are options to send SMS to main category as well as subcategory groups with ease.

The whole data is managed and stored centrally and frequent update of the data/app will update the contact details.

As an added feature, timetables of both the faculty and classes are also provided in the same group wise manner. To get the timetable of a faculty, just long click on the name of the faculty and wait for loading the page. To get the class time table, go to students main category and select the batch and long click on the header.

Also as now a days, whatsapp is an inevitable application, access to various department groups, whole college group and of course individual access also are added in the application, which needs just a click.

Linways & Google classroom – Two LMS platforms are getting utilized in the teaching learning process. Sharing of Learning materials, Learning activities, attendance tracking, course progress tracking, student grade tracking, etc are made possible through these LMS. Availability of recorded lectures prove to be a boon to slow learners as they get an opportunity to learn in their pace of comfort.

Design Studio

Students are exposed to the world of industrial practice of Designing structural components using custom prepared spreadsheets is the objective of this exercise. Students after learning the fundamental Structural Analysis and Structural Design courses are mentored to prepare spreadsheets for structural component design based on standard specifications. A hands-on experience of spreadsheet preparation enable students to learn a tool used by the industry irrespective of the domain expertise.
