An academic year is comprised of TWO semesters. Semester fee payments are due before January 15th and July 15th of any year.
SCHOLARSHIP : A student who scores 8 CGPA and pass in all subjects, but admitted under OCI/PIO/CIWG quota will be given 30% scholarship on OCI/PIO/CIWG tuition fee.
However, if he/she fails or not able to maintain 7 CGPA, will again slide back to corresponding semester fees.
Procedure and Eligibility
Fifteen percent (15%) supernumerary seats over and above the “Approved Intake” per Course shall be approved by AICTE approved Institutions and University Departments, for admitting students from Foreign Nationals/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/ Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries. One third (1/3) of these 15% seats shall be reserved for the Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries (CIWG). (a) Persons of Indian Origin (PIO): shall mean the persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his parents or any of his grandparents was a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec 2 (b) of citizenship Act. 1955.

Applications are invited for admission to seats reserved for PIO/OCI/CIWG through the website of MITS. Separate Rank list will be published based on merit among all students who have applied under this quota and will be displayed in the college website (www.mgmits.ac.in)
Eligibility for admission and academic requirements to the B.Tech programme, admission policy and procedure shall be decided by following the latest guidelines issued by the Government of Kerala and other statutory body such as APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and AICTE.
CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION – OCI/PIO/CIWG QUOTA
– Group A Branches: 80% marks separately in Mathematics and 80% Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics put together in the 12th standard, for Qualifying examination(CBSE/ISC) OR attain 80% Marks for Mathematics individually and 80% put together in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, in the 12th standard(Terminal-evaluation TE), for Qualifying examination(State Board).
– GROUP B branches: 75% Marks for Mathematics individually and 75% put together in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, in the 12th standard, for Qualifying examination(CBSE/ISC) OR attain 75% Marks for Mathematics individually and 75% put together in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, in the 12th standard(Terminal-evaluation TE), for Qualifying examination(State Board).
EXIT OPTION:
A student can opt to EXIT from OCI/PIO/CIWG quota before 5 days after the publication of KEAM 2025 score/answer key whichever is earlier and will be reimbursed the entire amount after deducting Rs 1000 processing fee. However a student will be automatically considered for MITS management quota from OCI/PIO/CIWG quota if he desires so and has to freeze the registration in MITS. Request for exit should be mailed in [email protected] within the stipulated time. There after the registered choice will be freezed and will not be eligible for any refund if the admission is cancelled after 5 days after the publication of KEAM 2025 score/answer key whichever is earlier.
