NSS Unit 264

The NSS unit of MITS is a very socially active body which upholds the NSS motto of “NOT ME BUT YOU” and enables the students to remain connected with the society and updated about their problems. The main aim of the unit is PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SOCIAL SERVICE and to nurture a group of socially committed professionals. Several social welfare programmes such as rural camps, annual special camps, health camps, blood donations camps, various awareness programmes for students and the public, marathons, etc. are organised by the NSS unit of MITS regularly. The unit also looks after several charity programmes of the college.

NSS Unit at MITS has been in the forefront of many social service ventures in the State and beyond. The awards and accolades received testify this fact.

Letter of Appreciation to Asst Prof Mathew Prince Korah Philip from Chief Minister of Kerala for coordinating District level rescue and rehabilitation services in the aftermath of flooding in August 2018.

A medical camp was organized by the NSS unit of MITS in association with Vrindavan Yoga Kendra at Vennikkulam
NSS volunteers were present as volunteers for the medical camp by Muthoot SNEHASHRAYA at Neermel colony.
The NSS technical cell of MITS had conducted a medical camp on 09 July 2017 at Varikoli.
The NSS technical cell of MITS had volunteered a medical camp at Varikoli on 08/07/2017. The volunteers distributed the notice to the neighborhood houses and in Neermal colony.
The NSS technical cell of MITS had conducted a blood donation camp on 19/08/2017.
NSS TECHNICAL CELL OF MITS volunteered the pulse polio immunization program at Varikoli on 08/04/2018. Volunteers made necessary arrangements for the program.
On the occasion of WORLD BLOOD DONORS DAY a blood donation camp was organised by NSS TECHNICAL CELL of MITS at MOSC MEDICAL COLLEGE Kolenchery. NSS volunteers along with faculties have donated blood in the camp.
NSS Technical Cell of MITS volunteered the medical camp organized by Manorama at Valakom Panchayath as a part of post flood rehabilitation. About 35 volunteers took over the duties at the camp site.
NSS TECHNICAL CELL OF MITS organized a blood donation camp at MOSC Hospital Kolenchery in coordination with the local Police Department of Puthencruz. The programme was conducted on 17/10/2018.
NSS TECHNICAL CELL OF MITS organized a blood donation camp at Aster Medicity as a part of world cancer day.
NSS TECHNICAL CELL OF MITS volunteered the medical camp conducted by the CSR cell of Muthoot Finance. The camp was organized at Neermal colony on 16/03/2019.
MITS NSS in association with Muthoot Snehasraya medical team organized a free medical camp for the people at our adopted village in June 2019
