People are plying with a great pace in order to achieve something in least time. It’s really difficult to navigate or get into a specific room of a doctor or a patient or to a ward in the case of multi-specialty hospitals with enormous number of floors and rooms.The receptionist comes to help, however the location of lift, the stairs and the path to follow is ambiguous. In most of the cases the outpatients or the visitors to see the inpatients can be seen in search of the desired location. There are limitations for guidance from an individual considering the huge rush at the reception desk.
The solution to the navigational needs and requirements of hospitals is to create a 3D Map of the entire building that can be opened on an Android smart phone which will aid in navigation with pointers and alerts as necessary. To accomplish the above requirement we will design a Spatial Data Infrastructure with electronic nodes that beam the indoor coordinates and sync with the Android mobile application.
